RWANDA, a small country in Central Africa, about a third of the size of Scotland, is populated by 10 million people. 90% of the population are subsistence farmers. In 1994, there was a genocide in Rwanda and a million people were massacred in 100 days. As a result, 60% of the population is mostly widowed women.
Hazel Bech has been visiting Rwanda every year since 2000 and has seen massive changes taking place in that time. There has been a lot of progress made in rebuilding lives and relationships through forgiveness and reconciliation.
On Eagles Wings is dedicated to helping in whatever way we can and wherever God leads us. We have been forging links between Rwanda and Scotland for many years.
